BIENVENIDOS CAMPING

Durante el mes de octubre varias instituciones culturales en Haarlem han programado proyectos con el contacto de Flanders para el festival de la ciudad “Haarlem con un acento flamenco”. El espacio de arte de Nieuwe Vide con la curaduría de Daniela Van Zuylen han pedido a SUPERSUDACA que realice un proyecto en el espacio público donde uno podrá comprobar la hospitalidad de una manera más realista que en la situación protegida del espacio del arte.
El incentivo del proyecto data de final del siglo XVI en donde Haarlem se convirtió en un refugio para los vecinos del sur de Calvinist. En su vuelta se convierte en anfitrión para que muchos otros sigan (en el 1620 alrededor de la mitad de la población de Haarlem era flamenca). SUPERSUDACA con “Bienvenidos camping” realizará varias conferencias sobre el postulado “Cuando el huésped se convierte en anfitrión” sobre la fecha de la instalación.
Acerca de esto:
- Parecería a primera vista, una respuesta literal de lo escrito: huéspedes de invitación voluntaria e ingenua y por otra parte muy certera. El acampar se libera de horarios de entrada y ofrece un refugio para cada interesado. Por otro lado la opción para una localización al lado de un hotel tiene como inmediata consecuencia que los huéspedes del hotel están hospedando al camping.
- “Huésped” implica para una colectividad como SUPERSUDACA que cada miembro del grupo sea anfitrión y huésped, logrando rápidamente generar una enorme muchedumbre (redes sociales virtuales del cfr).
- La 9/0 disposición meticulosa de los refugios, la carencia de la comodidad (agua, intimidad.) nos recuerda a los campos de refugiados. Referir a estas realidades con colores felices pudo, en primer término confundir así como también invitar al espectador que plantee preguntas sobre el tema.
- Extranjeros y al mismo tiempo huéspedes de este proyecto, sentíamos que éramos “permisivos” para jugar con los clichés locales de una manera más naif y natural. Lo temporal de la intervención, además de su función que acampa, se puede leer como trabajo terminantemente plástico: los tulipanes sin fin colocan fuera de la escala, un florecimiento fugitivo, que desaparecerá tan pronto como su propia aparición. El campo de flores holandés y los campos de refugiado comparten su disposición terminantemente organizada.
- Una de las intenciones principales del proyecto, que subraya el carácter contemplativo de él, es realizar una intervención urbana temporal en la cual la falta de formalidad (apropiación libre del espacio público sin la autorización o la explicación anterior) utiliza un lenguaje formal. La falta de formalidad en nuestra experiencia no siempre tiene que estar ligada necesariamente a las intervenciones caóticas o espontáneas.
- el lat pero no especialmente éste, han de ser las experiencias más grandes en Haarlem que acampan de cara a las alternativas para el masstourism, siendo uno de los asuntos que SUPERSUDACA está trabajando en un libro que será publicado por Actar y el príncipe Claus Fund Library. During the month of October, several cultural institutions in Haarlem have programmed projects with a link to Flanders for the city festival “Haarlem with a Flemish Accent’. Nieuwe Vide Art Space with curator Danielle Van Zuylen has asked Supersudaca to realize a project in public space where you can test hospitality in a more realistic way than in the protected situation of the art space. The incentive of the project dates back to the end of the 16th century when Haarlem became a refuge for their Calvinist neighbors from the south that on their turn became host for many others to follow (Around1620 half of the population of Haarlem was Flemish). Supersudacas ”camping Bienvenidos”allows various lectures of the brief ‘when guests becomes host’ as of the installation in itself : - at first sight, it’s literally an answer to the brief, inviting guests voluntary , naive and also accurate on the other hand. The camping is freed of entrance fees and offers shelter for everyone interested in sharing toughts below. On the other hadn the choice for a locaton next to an hotel has as an immediate consequence that the guests of the hotel are hosting thecamping. - ‘Becoming host’ for a collective as supersudaca enhances that every member of the group is host and guest at the time, what can quickly results in a tremendous crowd (cfr virtual social networks). - The meticulous 9/0 layout of the shelters, the lack of comfort (water, intimacy,..) are reminding us of the refugee camps in a subjacent. Referring to these realities with strong happy colours might at first site confuse as well as invite the spectator to raise questions on the subject. -As foreigners , at the same time guests as hosting this project, we felt that we were “allowed” to play with the local clichés in a more naïve and distanced way as a native could do. This temporal intervention, in addition to its camping function, can be read as a strictly plastic work: endless tulips field out of scale, a fugitive flowering, which will disappear as soon as they appear. The Dutch flowerfield and refugee camps share their strictly organized layout. -One of the main aims of the project, which underlines the contemplative character of it, is to realize a temporary urban intervention in which informality (free appropriation of public space, without real authorization or previous explanation) uses formal language. Informality in our experience does not necessarily always has to be linked to chaotic or spontaneous interventions. -lat but not least this” to be biggest camping Haarlem ever experienced” throws an eye on alternatives for masstourism, being one of the topics Supersudaca is working on for of a book to be published by Actar and the Prince Claus Fund Library.
